C A L L I E ♥ Damsel made her away across the fertile lands, ears relaxed against her cranium. Relaxed, easy gaze focused in front of her as she made her way towards the water, the scent of the nearby shrub animals nearly intoxicating. For the dame, reverting back to her feral instincts was an easy matter; though she had heard of those who had difficulties doing so. Tail wagged in a slow steep motion, coming to a stop as her relaxed gait lead her to the hill crest. Below, scattered within the lush green grasses and shrubbery, she knew there was prey. Wind below her fur back as she gazed below, deep, soulful brown eyes taking in the situation as it presented itself. The actual water source was a distance away, yet she knew many small animals, rabbits and such, chose to nest here. Body began to creep down once more, ears rising to only be partially back, lips pulling themselves back slightly. Mouth closed until it was in a grin-like position, partially lower tail stopping it's swing. Ahead, dense bush. Bitch knew this would give way to a move open area, where rabbits may be. Scent betrayed her, it was strong yet all around her. A groan came from her stomach, protest to this slow and patient method she was using. Prey would never be caught if she rushed, however. The young Shepard knew this, even in her young age. The wind was still on her side, keeping her scent far from the rabbits nose. A bit of eagerness flooded her body, an excited thrash of the tail given as brown optics peered through a bush, haunches lowering to an almost crouch-like position. The hunt was on, as soon as a bunny was spotted.

It was more of a peaceful day. Peaceful as you could get in a forest filled with all sorts of different creatures. As the canine below slowly crept along the woodland floors, she was watched by a pair of deep crimson eyes. She was sitting far up within the branches of an old oak wood tree. The branches sprung in all directions cover flourishing with bright green leaves and deep brown bark. It was not the highest, but far from the bottom - where the deep gray vulpine lay. Her eyes studied the moments below, it made an interesting show. She feed not long ago, taking this time to relax and observe all the creatures below. The carnivore amused herself watching from the foolish rabbits to the frantic squirrels. And when the time came for another, like herself to feed and the forest panicked it was so pleasurable. Life in all truth, was but a game to her. So when the young dog trotted upon this forest looking for a meal, another show had begun. She left out a quiet cheerfully sound her face covered in a full-fledged grin. Her bushy tail that was currently curled to the side gave a sharply flick and fell hanging from the branch. Let the show begin.

Layla ran as silently as she could, which, granted, wasn't half as stealthy as she believed it to be. Her clumsy paws would frequently break small sticks, making snapping noises. Her steps were heavy, and leaves crunched loudly under her feet. Layla, however, thought she was doing a remarkable job at sneaking around unnoticed. Her thick black fur stood on end. Layla had caught the scent of a rabbit. She licked her chops. She had caught and eaten a small mouse earlier that day, but the hunger still gnawed on her insides. She would have to find meat soon. There was a small depression in the ground, and Layla, who was distracted by her hunger and not paying much attention to her surroundings, stumbled into it. The medium sized dog whimpered. A sharp rock had cut her front left paw, drawing blood. She slowly climbed out of the hole, pressing on. She decided that she could tend to her wound once she had gotten her prey. She peered out of a thick bush with light blue eyes. Target sighted. The rabbit was out in the open, all she had to do was strike. She bounded out of the bush without a moment’s hesitation. The rabbit turned and saw the dog running toward it. It bolted across the field and disappeared into a small hole. Layla yowled in frustration. Would she never get her meal?

C A L L I E ♥ Beautiful temptress had picked her target, a lovely looking specimen. There were many in the wide field area before the water, though none were close enough to be alerted by her. Hopefully, anyway. Wide, focused eyes stared forward as body lowered, gait moving forwards, ears crept forward, the front of her skull. Mouth closed as she crept froward, through the brush. The hare was not to far from her, yet there was a small dip in the earth, holding it further away from her. This would be fine. She could maneuver it. Body was held rigid, tail close to the ground. The set up was perfect. Eyes caught was seemed to be the rabbit sensing her presence, Callie lunged.
The rabbits warm, fleshy body met her jaws, the warm blood filling her mouth as she closed around it's neck. As soon as the prey was secured, she slunk backwards, into the bush. A few rabbits had scattered, but more were further down. Being able to hunt extra would be idle, she had three hungry mouths to feed. Only ones was hers by blood, the other three abandoned stays she took in. They were far to young to be on there own anyway. The prey would be secured in a hole for now, dirt loosely covering it for now. Another hare had wandered dangerously close, curious as to the noise. An easy second kill.
[/BLOCKQUOTE][/blockquote] DANGER, M A X A M U S The young, doopy pup was excited. Mom had never told them to stay still, only to stay hidden! Surely they were hidden in the woods, right? Ears were perked forward as the brute ran, pants emitted from his parted jaws. Tail as held straight out as he dashed down the hill. This sad-looking brown eyes had seen the rabbit from afar and now glowed with excitement. He would make the kill, oh yeah! Behind him, he could hear his sister and brother following. But back to that rabbit! Paws skidded on the hilly ground as they started going downhill, his momentum picking up as his too-big paws collided heavily with the earth. Front legs slowed as he reached the bottom to better get the rabbit, but the back kept going. Uh-oh. Ass over tea-kettle, the brute flipped over. And over, and over in a tumble. This ultimately scared the rabbit away. From the bushes, he heard a sharp growl.
"Petsimus Maxamus, what the hell do you think your doing?!"
Busted. Now sitting, ear flopped over, truly sad eyes looked to his mother. "I thought I could get it like you, mommy!"
Holli BABY, ♥ Paws thudded after Max, Titus hanging from her jaws. Pup's pace was deliberately slower, she had to carry their new brother and all. Kate was quiet happy when Max came home with him a week or so ago. Following her brother, she would actually slow down, walking down the hill. Upon seeing her brothers error, she set down little Titus.
"I told you you'd couldn't catch it!" she mocked, ears laid back and eyes narrowed.
"Hey, Shuddup Kate!" he barked back, a snarl accenting his words.
"Enough, both of you!" Callie interrupted, giving off a disappointed air.
Tail lowered between Kate's legs as Titus swat between he front paws, obliviously staring at a butterfly. A small whine was emitted from the young bitches chest as she avoided her mothers eyes. Max had been trying to do the right thing, even Kate knew they needed to start hunting with there mother. Or Max did, at least. Kate herself normally babysat little Titus. From somewhere in the distance, more rustling was heard. Another dog? Another something? Eyes stared widely in the direction, nose nudging Titus over to Callie. Teeth were bare din the direction of the noise, but eyes glanced up to Callie for leadership.

First paw, second paw, first paw second paw. The small multi colored bundle of fur followed its companions. He had to keep reminding himself to put one paw in front the other, trying to avoid any collisions or mishaps. Depot had already scared prey away, which led to a very unhappy uncle Buddy. His uncle never liked him - not one bit. Though his Buddy didn't really like anyone. Depot's big brothers stood by his side. Woody on his right. Smokey on his left. Uncle Buddy was the first ahead. He gave a sharp whine, all eyes turning on him.
"Tired," he whimpered.
Before Buddy could open his mouth with some fiery remark, Smokey lifted him up into his jaws. Depot wiggled for a moment before relaxing his body in his brother's hold.
"Are we quite done yet?" snapped the small elder beagle-terrier.
Woody gave a snort, and Smokey just stared blankly back. Depot was busy watching a stray moth flutter around. Buddy turned back around to lead the group once more further into the forest.
Woody paused,"Hey, does that creepy fox chick live around here?"
"Creepy, hm?" purred a deep voice.
Four heads shot up to look at the tree above them. There lay the small silver fox, grinning like a mad women.
Woody growled,"Yeah definitely creepy."
She let out a barking laugh, unsettling the group even more.

Gina had managed to kill two rabbits today. Not bad. She was just about to dig into her food when she heard footsteps. She leapt to her feet and stood over the two carcasses protectively. She wasn’t going to let someone else get her food. She had worked hard to get those rabbits. The footsteps grew nearer until she could hear low breathing. She swung around to face the intruder and growled menacingly. A figure emerged from the shadows, and Gina found herself face to face with Layla, the dog she had made friends with. “Oh, it’s you.” Gina relaxed and began to eat. “Of course it’s me. Who were you expecting? You didn’t have to growl at me,” Said Layla. “Another dog, a wild animal trying to steal my food,” replied Gina, “I was only being cautious. You should be too.” Layla whimpered and stared longingly at the second rabbit. She was starved. Gina figured that Layla was whining because she had scared off her prey by being too eager. Again. She paused in eating and nudged the second rabbit towards Layla with her nose. “I’m not that hungry if you’re interested,” said Gina. Layla greedily devoured the rabbit, finishing before the older dog. “Have I ever told you how much I love you?” asked Layla. “I love you too, but you’re going to have to get better at hunting your own food soon. I know you’re still young, but I am too. You’re too impatient. You can’t just charge at your prey. You have to pick the right moment.” “I know,” said Layla. “Hey, do you think we could hunt together next time? You could give me pointers and stuff.” “Sure.” Replied Gina.

C A L L I E ♥ Damsel had paused in the middle of the clearing. Ears perked up again, turning to try and catch sounds. There were defiantly more dogs in the area. Callie looked over her shoulder, to her pups nearby. A small growl summoned them forward, the three getting to her sides.
"I'm big! I can walk!" protested Titus, who had begun to squirm.
Callie would look to the pup for a moment, "Let him down. We can't shelter him forever." she said, swaying her head back towards the commotion. Titus would stand under her, Max on her left and Kate on her right, the rabbit dangling from her jaws. The other dogs, where ever they were, didn't seem keen on coming out yet. Or, maybe they didn't notice Callie and her group there. A growl erupted from Callie's chest as she approached another bush line, a few drips of rabbit blood leading her on.
Ears remained pointed forward, tail fur rising and sticking straight out from her body. Narrowed, focused eyes locking in on one bush. A yard or two in front of her, she knew there were bodies. Two, maybe. Standing tall, head and neck would lower, another growl being emitted. This would be followed by a sharp bark. the bitch would be dead before someone killed, harmed, or even looked at her family wrong.
[/BLOCKQUOTE][/blockquote] DANGER, M A X A M I S Even the pup knew what sort of threat this was. Moving forward, Max would follow his mother lead. But what if the dogs inside tried to run? After sending a look to his mother, Max would go over to the left side of the bush, where there was less cover. He could block of this side, and hopefully Katie would get the other. The pups, although never as aggressive as there mother, knew when it was time to be rough. This was one of those times. A growl came from the boys chest, like his mothers.
"Come on out. We just want to talk, get to know you." he would tell whoever was inside, though his voice was not kind.
If they were older, there would probably be a fight. Normally, younger pups, around his age or younger, would be taken in, if not made to be friends. This was putting a huge dent in there hunting times, normally they would all be out catching food now. Max's deep brown eyes focused into the bush, body tense. He could spring after something, the adrenaline was coursing through his body. Patience, Patience. Holli BABY, ♥ Oh, maybe a fight? The rabbit was set down for a moment. "Titus, stay with mom. You have a really important duty. Protect our kill, okay?" she told him, nudging the rabbit over to the pup.
He grabbed it and she ran to the right side, opposite of Max. An excited whine came from her body, tail wiggling a bit. So fun! Other then her wiggling tail, body was in an aggressive stance. The dogs inside could either come show themselves or run backwards. If they ran, Kate knew there would be a chase, probably by Max and Callie. Hopefully the dog inside would just come out and face them. Callie was always easier on brave dogs, they showed the gull to face conflict. RUNT-ZILLA! TITUS, MIGHTY PUP!
OH! He had a job?! To do by himself?! Oh, wow! Titus pulled the rabbit under his tiny body, sitting next to his mother proudly. Looking over Callie, he tired to mock her stance, making himself look like her. But his stubby tail didn't stick out as much, and he couldn't raise his floppy ears either. He still looked tough, though! And he was being treated like a big puppy. A very puppy-ish bark came from his mouth, as he tired to sound tough. This didn't really work to well, but he thought he sounded tough. With the rabbit under his rump, his tail wagged excitedly. How fun!

"There is a lot of commotion going on out there, hm?" grinned the small fox.
She flicked her tail and stood up on top of the old oak branch. Soon as the dogs realized what fox was going to do, they froze. Kira leapt from the one branch down to the other below. It shook and protested at the sudden weight but still held her. A few stray leaves would fall as she repeated these motions. Finally with a loud thud she was on the ground next to her companions. There was a stray yelp of surprise, which she inferred was the pup, along with angry growls.
"Chill my little doggies," Kira gave a growl-ish purr.
Buddy snorted and snapped his jaw in a warning manner. She only rolled her eyes, totting over to hit him in the face with her tail. While he gave an angry snarl the small fox's gaze flicked to the others.
Her grin widened,"So boys, how 'bout we go check out all the little ruckus over in my little forest?"
"Your forest!" snarled the beagle."And we will not be attending, it is too dangerous."
She gave a soft sigh,"Well ignoring the old man, what about you kids?"
Kira ignored the irritated howl about how she was oldest, not really interesting in anything but the others opinions.
"We should go!" squeaked Depot.
Smokey happily agreed, and Woody just gave a snort before heading in the direction of the noise. Kira happily pranced among them telling exaggerated stories to Depot, who looked at her in awe. When the group of dogs came into view she wiggled excitedly and jumped head first. Not really listening to Buddy's warnings.
"Hello, my lovelies~"
Sometimes, Woody really regretted running into the fox a few weeks ago, and even more - regretted introducing Kira to his pack. She had a talent for making big problems for them.
